Product Description:
ENDORSED BY THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS This guide offers an unsurpassed review of pediatric emergency medicine. The Second Edition now provides a bulleted list of 5 high-yield facts at the start of each chapter; key tables, diagrams, and equations on the inside covers for quick reference; and expanded material on cardiac care.

Download Description:
'Like its parent textbook, this handbook focuses on the salient points of managing pediatric emergencies but uses an outline format to summarize the information you need to know. You'll review all conditions commonly seen in the ED, including: resuscitation conditions, including sudden infant death syndrome; trauma care; respiratory emergencies; cardiovascular emergencies; dermatologic emergencies, including infant rashes; toxicologic emergencies; pediatric and adolescent gynecology; and much more. Major points of etiology, pathophysiology, the patient exam are presented along with differential diagnosis and treatment of each condition. Each chapter is referenced to the comprehensive Pediatric Emergency Medicine for additional reading.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A well-writen, useful and concise textbook
The "Pediatric Emergency..." writen by Strange et al. (and
supported by the ACEP, what is not a minor fact) is a very
useful resource for the non-emergency pediatrician. The book
has a concise format and a practical approach for students,
interns, family and emergency phisicians. Very Good.

The set up of the text and it's sections/chapters should be familiar ... Read More
