![]() Rating: - Good comprehensive ReviewI used this book along with my organ systems themed pathology course to get a good review of the anatomy, embryology, physiology and pharmacology involved with that specific organ system. The book has errors in it, but nothing overly major, and the errata includes most of them. Additionally, it helped me to read more critically, and conscientiously, paying attention to what I was reading (You can submit the errors for a potential gift card). I liked that it was more text and explanation, and filled ... I was never a big fan of the format of the first aid books; however, organ systems is written in paragraph form, rather than outline form. It's easy to follow and a great book to use along with regular course work. The margins are nice and wide which allows for annotation. Yes, it's true there are some errors, ... Read More Rating: - Best book I have seenI spent 2 years reading and mastering the best board review books for the USMLE step 1. This book is the best one I have found. I just took step 1 and got a 99. I would recommend this book over any other book out there. It is an exact replica of the gold standard recipe for acing step 1, first aid, with a little more explaination and better pictures. Compare the two. They have the same content in the same order. Use this book during the school year for the best results. Rating: - Sersiouly, this just isn't OK.I really don't understand how a book could be produced with this many mistakes. To be fair, I'm not sure if I've ever had the first edition of a text/review book before, but this thing is rife with glaring errors. And here's the bad news: I'm really, really not that great a med student. So if I'm seeing THESE mistakes, what else is there to be found? I get that one or two mistakes are going to get through, especially in a fact-heavy volume like this. But there's some pretty serious conceptual ... Read More Rating: - Mistakes Mistakes Mistakes! All I can say for this book that there are so many mistakes in here that it is ridiculous. I know this is a first edition and all, but it is INEXCUSABLE how many mistakes there are. Nary a page goes by where I can pick something out that is incorrect... Buy this book with extreme caution.
