![]() Rating: - A very good resourceMy main objective in purchasing this book was to get me on tract with my cholesterol as well as drop about 10-15 pounds. The first thing I learned was that my portions were way out of line - I had no idea! I like the fact that it offers variations to follow in your diet plan as well as different calorie counts (1200; 1600; 2000) depending on your size & gender. This is no quick fix, but a lesson in how to change your eating habits. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that for me it used ... Read More Rating: - No-Fad DietAfter some years of trying to lose the weight, and then having other problems to prevent said loss of weight, it seems that this book does seem to offer what I have been looking for. Not to mention, this book has been recommended me by others in and around my community. So, it would appear that this is what I have been looking for and what I need. Rating: - The best information availableI am so thankful that AHA decided to publish a book, in common English, that helps people adhere to a healthy lifestyle. One of the reasons I love this book is because there is none of the New Age speak or semi-religious jargon in it. It's plain and simple facts. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to change their lifestyle and do it the right way first. Rating: - No-Fad Diet from American Heart Assoc. This is an excellent book with helpful recipes for those who are getting started on the road to recovery after heart attack or bypass surgery. Very helpful recipes and tips. Rating: - Great Plan, Recipes, and Helpful InformationI just started this and so far its going great, had to do a lot of shopping but the 1600 calorie plan is pretty easy for me to follow. I had to buy a bunch of stuff to follow the diet plan but in the end the money I save from not eating out everyday will be worth it. Since it allows snacks between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner it helps me stay on and keeps the hunger pains away. In association with Amazon.com | |
