![]() Rating: - Good theory but short on practical adviceI enjoyed this book and found it helpful as far as thinking about my parenting theories and the end results I'd like to see. However, I had hoped it would go beyond the theory to offer practical advice at implementing the theories, but it did not. Thus, I do not think it is the most useful book for busy parents! I am hoping the authors' book on boundries is more practical. Rating: - Very helpful!This is a great book that helps provide guiding principles on raising kids through the different stages in their lives. This is not a "how to" raise your kids methods type of book as much as one that integrates a balanced approach to child rearing. Rating: - Possible the best child-rearing book available!!I loved this book. As a mother of a six month old it was a blessing to find this book. It opened my eyes to areas in my life that I needed to work on so that I will be able to teach my child when the time comes. It also gave me an outline of what I need to be mindful of as a parent raising a child. Excellent!!! Rating: - Bringing up spiritually mature children in the 90'sThis is a surprisingly in-depth outline of how to grow great young adults from little rugrats. The authors are quite adept at explaining complex ideas in straight forward layman's terms which, considering that they are both board-certified psycologists, shows they have a unique talent for communicating.
