Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - this simplifies my life
I've been a fan of the Hungry Girl website for a year or so. I would check in to see what was up, & print out recipes. This book is worth the price, just because I no longer need to shuffle through a bunch of printouts anymore. It saves paper.

The crab stuffed mushrooms are a staple for my Oscar parties. Even SoopahBowl parties. No one is the wiser that the delish appetizer is low-fat.

NOTE: The "hollandaise" for Eggs Bene-Chick fooled my husband, a BIG fan of Eggs Benedict. ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not a major fan of this book.
I wanted very badly to like this book. The idea that you can eat enough to be full and find substitutes for the way fattening things that we all love is a great idea. However, in presenting these recipes, there is an overload of aftificial sweetener and some gross-out foods that would not satisfy me in my most desperate hour.

There are ways to consume mass quantities of food and still lose weight if you choose foods that have volume, high water content, fiber and are delicious. Yes, I am talking ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - I love Hungry Girl but...
Let me first of all just say that I LOVE the hungry girl website and email list. However, I was a bit disappointed by the book.

First of all, it's missing some of the best recipes that I have seen on the hungry girl mailing list (enchiladas, anyone?! mmm!) There have been several times that I thought about making a hungry girl recipe, looked it up in the book, and realized that it's not in there! I realize that they couldn't fit every recipe in the book but it's still a little disappointing. ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great for dieters.
Love this cook book. This would be more helpful if the Weight Watchers points were included, but gives you everything you need know to calculate. Great book!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This book really helps me stay on track!
This is a great book, and an even better extension of the Hungrygirl.com website. I literally use these recipes every single day, and they really help me keep on track with Weight Watchers. A majority of the recipes are for 1 or 2 servings, which helps me dive right in and make them for myself instead of trying to divide out the recipes. It's easier to double or triple the recipe anyway, so that isn't a problem when I'm cooking for more than myself. Most recipes are no more than 3 points, while many are only ...
