A thrilling new novel by the author of the #1 bestseller The Lincoln Lawyer. In 1995 Marie Gesto disappeared after walking out of a supermarket. Harry Bosch worked the case but couldn't crack it, and the 22-year-old woman was never found. Now Bosch is in the Open-Unsolved Unit, where he still keeps the Gesto file on his desk, when the DA calls. A man accused of two heinous killings is willing to come clean about several others, including the murder of Marie Gesto. Bosch must now take the confession of the man he has sought--and hated--for eleven years. But when Bosch learns that he and his partner missed a clue back in 1995 that could have led them to Gesto's killer--and stopped nine murders that followed--his whole being as a cop begins to crack. Michael Connelly's enthralling new novel pits the detective People magazine calls "one of the most complex crime fighters around" against one of the most sadistic killers he has ever confronted. It confirms that Michael Connelly "is the best writer of suspense fiction working today" Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - A solid entry in the Harry Bosch seriesIt seems that Connelly can do no wrong, this is yet another tense and surprising entry in this series. Installment after installment Connelly proves to be a master of the police procedural, sending his likable characters into disturbing crimes and very intense situations. This installment feels particularly different for reasons I will not get into. It may not pack quite the emotional punch of some other installments but Echo Park's a very worthwhile read for a Harry Bosch fan. Not a bad place to ... Read More Rating: - ECHO PARKA GOOD BOOK IN TYPICAL HARRY BOSCH STYLE. I ENJOY THE HARRY BOSCH SERIES AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME OF THEM MADE INTO A MOVIE OR TV SERIES LIKE "BONES" OR "DEXTER". Rating: - A masterpiece of the hard boiled Being a veteran reader of mystery novels I could never anticipate how Mr Connelly will play with the plot and with the characters and that is what it makes this novel powerful, special and different from others written by him or by other authors who believe themselves as masters of this genre. The ending is colossal. Overall, Echo Park lives up to all expectations set by all the acclaims written in the first pages by the media. Mr Bosch character portrayal is one of a kind. It is clear that Mr Connelly ... Read More Rating: - EXCELLENT BOOKThis book was so good that I could not put it down. It was the fastest book I have ever read because it just kept me reading. Rating: - Not the best and not the worstI won't say a whole lot about this one. It is average, not as good as several others in the series (the black echo) not as bad as a few others (the overlook). It's readable, not terribly original, somewhat predictable. In association with Amazon.com | |
