Editorial Review:

Product Description:
THE HUMAN BRAIN is a single-authored, core introductory neuroscience text that describes the structure and function of the brain and nervous system. The text covers the neuroanatomy that medical and other healthcare students need, with expanded coverage of neurophysiology and inclusion of clinical content providing real-life application of neuroanatomy and neurophysiologic concepts to clinical neurologic disorders. Its readability and enhanced full-color illustrations make it a favorite among both students and faculty.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Okay, but not perfect
Had to take Neurobiology for occupational therapy grad school. This was not the best textbook in the world. I found much better info on websites. I would NOT recommend purchasing the supplemental material/study guide. The color plates are also supplemental and helped me a little more than the text.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Better than the textbook it accompanies....
The study guide for Nolte's "The Human Brain" is much easier to understand than the actual textbook. The concepts are brief and concise which was exactly what I wanted. So far it has been the best non-clinical reference for my neuro course.

The area of functional neuroanatomy is one of the most interesting areas because of the obvious practical applications, and so it's easier to motivate ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good basic anatomy maps
Great anatomy mapping, easy to understand. Not in-depth so you make of it what you can visually.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Concise and perfect for Med Students
I'm doing neuroscience research before applying to medical school. The suite of Nolte's "The Human Brain" books are part of a course i'm currently taking here that's Med School level Basic human neuroanatomy. The study guide is a perfect complement to the textbook and photographs books.
