 Rating: - This is the thingAs a volunteer firefighter EMT I am getting ready to take EMT basic for certification. I wanted a text book to get a jump on studying and so I decided to search the internet for a copy of the version we keep at the station in the operations room. This is the thing. Rating:  - Book's okay, workbook has many errorsThis is the text for my EMT-B class. The text is fine, easy to read, decent number of good pictures. I am doing very well in the class, so I guess that speaks well of the material. I have had previous training, however. The work book is a good design and very helpful, when it's accurate. I have spent too many frustrating minutes/hours having to correct the workbook to be able to recommend it. Some chapters have multiple incorrect answers in the quizzes. The illustrations are relatively well done and it covered all of the material I needed to pass the national registry exam. The text was generally clear, but not in as much depth as I would have liked for many topics. It is not difficult to read this text and understand what the right thing to do should be in a given situation, but sometimes it is not very clear as to why.
