![]() Rating: - A few good bits, but overall doesn't cut itI bought this book after I had finished with my Baron's one. It was like night and day. This book uses a whole page for a single triangle diagram. Most of the advice is fluff, like "Don't let the test takers psych you out". There aren't many tactics at all, at least not useful ones. I finished the whole book in two nights and just felt like I hadn't gained anything. It felt good to learn strategies and methods beyond just the basic knowledge of vocabulary. I also bought the Barron's flashcards just so I would ... Read More Rating: - Great Book, horrible on-line supportI will say this; the book is well written. The concepts are clear and easy to understand... That being said, I was completely unprepared for the GRE using just the book. Countless times I tried to use the on-line supplements and the website continually locked up or timed out. I did try different computers with different connections with the same result. I have been out of school for over a decade and can't remember the last time I have taken a timed test. You really need ... Read More Rating: - Princeton GREThe tips they have are useful in a very "to-the-point" manner. It serves as a good refresher to some of the things I haven't been tested on since the SATs. I figured the key is still in learning more vocabulary words and I resorted to searching online help rather than using only the list provided in this book. I thought the definitions given were too simple and does not allow me to fully grasp the context of the word I am learning. In association with Amazon.com | |
