Editorial Review: Product Description: The GRE subject tests are among the most difficult standardized exams. Rather than testing general problem-solving skills, they require highly specialized knowledge. The experts at The Princeton Review have thoroughly research each subject test to provide students with the most thorough, up-to-date information available. Students don’t need to relearn the entire histories of their fields—just what they need to know to earn high scores on the exams. Each guide includes one full-length practice exam, complete with comprehensive explanations for every solution. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - I think it is good for the test preparationAs a GRE subject test textbook, it is detailed and well organized. I like the examples and practices most. Few mistakes were made in the book. It would be better if more practice tests were proposed. Rating: - Great bookI really appreciated this book: I think it's very helpful and useful; the topics covered are of great importance and the (numerous) solved problems do help a lot. The only negative point is that there are numerous misprints which cause some confusion. Rating: - Good prep with typosI found this book to be good preparation for the most part. They give you challenging questions to get you in the right mindset for the test. There is 1 practice test, review questions at the end of each chapter, and example problems. The only thing is that there are typos, so watch out for things that don't make sense. Rating: - Unacceptably many errorsThis book is riddled with errors. If you have a genuine need to review, it will do more harm than good. In the first chapter, I encountered: * boundary error in the first example problem * cosine sum/difference formulas swapped * sign errors in review problems Rating: - Alright except for eggregious typos in formulasExplanations tend to be good. Easy to follow order and lessons. But beware - has several major typos on formulas in instructional sections. In association with Amazon.com | |
