I bought it as a "math" reader for my kids, ages 5, 6 and 9. They all enjoy it but my 5yr. old son esp. LOVES it. We began reading it just before K5 began and he memorized it w/in two days. Although it's currently beyond his reading level, it has served as a great incentive; he is learning/beginning to actually read the book he loves so much.
