Product Description:

How did pretty, flighty Daisy Devreaux find herself in this fix? She can either go to jail or marry the mystery man her father has chosen for her. Alex Markov, however, has no intention of playing the loving bridegroom to a spoiled little featherhead with champagne tastes. As humorless as he is deadly handsome, he drags the irrepressible Daisy away from her uptown life and sets out to tame her.

Except it won't be as easy as he thinks. This man without a soul has met a woman who's nothing but heart. Will vows spoken in haste shatter . . . or offer the promise of love everlasting?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Maybe we should bring back arranged marriages
I'm a huge SEP fan. And this book did not disappoint.
After getting a couple chapters in I thought...... "A Circus? Really?"
I loved her books about football stars, hockey, and golf stars. Never would have guessed she would have written about circus life. But it was really interesting.
SEP always creates such depth to her characters and you feel so deeply bonded with them even if you hate them ;-) Daisy and Alex will grip your heart.
I thought this was a fabulous book ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - BLOWN AWAY
I had this book for a while before I read it. The back of the cover threw me off. The story sounded a bit silly to me. WOW, I was in for a surprise! I believe there are romance novels and then there are LOVE STORIES that are so deep, so real and so emotional you feel the love as you are reading the book. This is a LOVE STORY told beautifully and emotionally. THERE IS SO MUCH DEPTH TO THIS BOOK, it is a keeper!!! I love SEP's books but this one is now at the top of my list. I hope you read it and enjoy ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Witty, memorable, moving - just great
Phillips took an unlikely premise (modern day arranged marriage), dropped it into a even more unlikely setting (travelling circus), and created a book that is funny, engaging, and completely believable. Her smart wit is evident throughout and she takes care to make her details, such as circus life and historical information, true, but it never gets in the way of her characters. You like them, laugh with them and want to shake them, but you believe in them and want to spend far longer in their company than ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great book!
this is one of the greatest romance book of all times. first i read the synopsis of this book: carnival worker? kinda cheesy for a romance book! book when i started to read the book. boy! was i wrong, this book its fantastic. the characters seem so real and the book is so touching! you feel for the characters emotionally! some parts of this books will make you cry and some parts would make simile! a wonderful book. must read this book!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A True Treasure!
After reading the synopsis of this book I was curious as to how this story could be a good romance novel. But it did not take long for me to completely fall in love with these characters and to want a little baby elephant to follow me around. Having read more than my fair share of romance novels and most of Susan Elizabeth Phillips' novels I have to say that this was one of my favorites, you won't be able to put it down, nor will you want to. It is a creative new plot for a romance novel that will totally win ... Read More
