Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
If you've ever wondered why the latest fad diet doesn't work for you... well, there are lots of reasons, mostly the fact that it's a fad diet. But it could also be that you're the wrong blood type for the kinds of foods the diet recommends. Peter D'Adamo makes a persuasive argument that your blood type is an evolutionary marker that tells you which foods you'll process best, and which will be useless calories. He covers the entire range for each of the four blood types, from entrées to condiments and seasonings, and also makes type-specific exercise and lifestyle recommendations.

Amazon.com Audiobook Review:
This abridged audiobook introduces Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo's revolutionary approach to dieting based on the connection between blood type and health. Read by audio pro Polly Adams, D'Adamo's bestseller details how different foods affect specific blood types both positively and negatively. We learn that "pastas made from buckwheat are better tolerated for Type Os," and that type As should eliminate all meat from their diet to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. Adams blends an efficient, no-nonsense delivery and warm tones that may remind some of a favorite talk-radio personality. And considering the important subject matter, listeners will appreciate all of these qualities. While some dieters may find the suggestions too progressive--it's recommended that women with a history of breast cancer in their family introduce snails into their diet--this is a beneficial three-hour investment for dieters seeking alternative nutritional plans. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I feel great
If your goal is to read a book that will provide you with peer reviewed articles cited, scientific studies referred to, etc. before you try the diet then you should save your money because you will not find these things here. If all you do is read the book, and you want hard science, look elsewhere.

BUT, if you are willing to experiment with your diet based on anecdotal evidence only because you want to feel and look better than you have in years, buy this book.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A REVOLUTIONARY WORK
Eat Right 4 Your Type is a revolutionary work. The author recognizes our differences in heritage and blood type and then makes appropriate diet and exercise recommendations. He explains that people with each blood type process food and fight disease and stress differently, and therefore thrive on different diets. The premise is interesting and makes sense on an intuitive level since blood type is such a fundamental physiological distinction. For example, Type O's should eat more protein, less grains, ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Makes a lot of sense
Having read this book, I keep referring to it over and over. Once you start thinking how your body asks for certain foods and others are intuitively not for you, the information in this book explains why and reinforces what you know about your body, helping you make better decisions about what is best for you.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I'm a believer!
Shortly after having my son in 1993, my health 'challenges' began to worsen. I've known since age 6 that I was allergic to milk when diagnosed by a doctor, but just had a feeling there was more. I had some allergy tests and all the doctor could tell me was the indoor/outdoor allergies I had and the one thing I already knew...dairy. Eventually body forced me to eliminate numerous foods that I had eaten for years. My body had enough.

One day I had been watching a morning show and saw Peter ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Concepts, Worth Your Time to Read
In the Western world, it's pretty "all food works for all people", right? Some of us discover that we have allergies to certain foods and stop eating these. Other times, we have health issues that we don't have a clue as to their source.

Peter D'Adamo has studied food vs. blood type. He breaks foods out and lists what foods work best for your particular blood type, but also which ones are likely to cause you problems.

Blood type to me still seems too broad, it should be possible ... Read More
