 Rating: - buy this!This is simply, I think, the greatest children's book ever written. It is eloquent, it is beautiful, it is profound -- and yet accessible to even the smallest of children. The imagery (both visual and textual) is stunning. All children's books should strive to be as magical and lyrical as "I Know the Moon". The animal characters have differing opinions about what the moon is made of, and when they cannot agree they ask a scientist. His answer is unsatisfactory and disillusioning, but the animals continue to have faith in their beliefs, this time without antagonism for the others.
