Editorial Review:

Product Description:
New in the national bestselling Sons of Destiny series, hailed by Jayne Ann Krentz as “wildly entertaining.”

Amara is wary of mages––they chased her out of her homeland. Yet there is something about the mage Trevan of Nightfall that Amara can’t resist. But can he be trusted with her most fiercely guarded secret? Courting such a pretty yet prickly outlander won’t be easy, but Trevan is determined to try. She may be fierce, proud, and from a different culture, but after all, he is the Cat, and none but the most fascinating and challenging of women could satisfy him…

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The Cat
if you enjoy fantasy this is a very good book. I recommend you start with the first in the series that is called The Sword. You won't want to wait for the next one.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Cat (Songs of Destiny) Book 5
After getting the first four books in this series I needed more - can't wait for the next installments...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Can't wait for the next book.
I enjoy this entire story. I was worried Jean Johnson was wearing out the Sons of Destiny series but she delivers again. Trevan is the brother I feel the most for because his twin, Rydan, isolates himself away from the others. I wasn't at all distracted by the parallel story of Rydan. It just left me wanting Rydan's story more.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - I want my 3 days back!!!
When I first began reading this book I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the book did not reach my expectations. The writer spends an unnecessary amount of time explaining the most minute details to the point of exhaustion. The reader does not need every detail explained, sometimes it is better to let the reader form their own perception. The three days it took me to complete this book felt like a life-time. I found the hero reserved and boring while the heroine comes off as self absorbed and annoying. ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sensual and highly entertaining!
The Sons of Destiny series is every bit as much a fascinating fantasy world-building story as it is a romance & erotica series. The family is in the unusual position of trying to jump-start a kingdom with very few resources other than their own magical abilities, their quick minds, and some natural resources, and it's wonderful to observe their struggles. They have to do everything from planning a city to enticing settlers to move in. They have to create their own local customs to give people a sense of ... Read More
