I originally purchased these sets for my daughter who wanted to learn to read when she was 3 years old. She quickly picked up the word patterns and was reading at a 2nd to 3rd grade level by Kindergarten. Now, at 12, she's reading at a post high school level. I recently reordered all the sets for my nephew who was struggling at his 1st grade level. The 3rd set made my son go bit off.. not much reading, but has little bit of basic activites (e.g, drawing line between word and picture, etc.). Hope the 4th and 5th sets would be goo.
