Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Second Time Around
The Playboy was just as much fun and just a light a read as The Bachelor and that is a great thing! This was another easy to read novel and one that I really wasn't in a hurry to finish. The characters are so much fun and seriously don't we all just need a something enjoyable to read once in a while! I love Carly's style of keeping things fun and flirty with just a little steam to add to the mix. If you are looking for a book to read in the evenings that will make you smile before drifting off, ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - ..shallow!!
Let me start by saying that I didn't even finish this book, so take this review with that in mind.

I am an avid romance reader and one of the main reasons that I like to read this genre is because I enjoy watching a romance develop between two individuals. This book gives "quickie" and all new meaning.

The main two characters meet and fall in lust immediately. It only takes, what, ummmm 4 chapters and they are in the sack. Not my idea of romance. The idea that these 2 shallow ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Thoroughly Fun!
After reading the first book of the Chandler trilogy (The Bachelor), I wasn't expecting much. So much to my surprise that I found myself thoroughly enjoying this encounter with the middle brother.

Both Rick and Kendall are entertaining characters that you can feel their struggles and fears and love. I absolutely loved the antics of Kendall, alone and with her sister, and I felt the struggle as she tried to help her sister, Hannah. Also the couple `living in sin' were really fun and quirky characters. ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Second n the Chandler trilogy
Officer Rick Chandler will do anything to avoid his mother's matchmaking schemes. As well as those of the well meaning townspeople, who seem to want this divorced man hooked up again.

When he rescues a runaway bride fleeing from her wedding, he hatches an ingenious plan - he has Kendall Sutton pose as his intended to keep the rest of the single ladies who constantly resort to placing erroneous 911 calls to get his attention at bay. She agrees, as it will keep her off the meat market as well. Of course ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A fun read...
This book was my first experience with reading Carly Phillips. I didn't realize it was the second in the trilogy about the brothers until a little ways in and I didn't want to stop reading by then just to get the first book out of the way before reading onward!

The book is pretty predictable, like most chick lit at this level, but I was pleased with the quick read and will be checking out the other works by this author. I felt that the characters were well-developed and quite witty in some cases. They ... Read More
