Editorial Review:

Product Description:
The “gripping and riveting”( S.M. Stirling, author of The Scourge of God) Destroyermen saga continues.

Lieutenant Commander Matthew Reddy, along with the men and women of the USS Walker, have chosen sides in a war not of their making. Swept from the World War II Pacific into an alternate world, they have allied with the Lemurians—a mammalian race threatened by the warlike reptilian Grik.

The Lemurians are vastly outnumbered and ignorant of warfare, and even the guns and technology of Walker cannot turn the tide of battle. Luckily they are not alone—Reddy finally finds Mahan, the other destroyer that passed through the rift. Together, the two American ships will teach the Lemurians to make a stand. Or so they think.

For the massive Japanese battleship Amagi, the very ship that Walker was fleeing from when the rift took them, has followed them through. And now the Amagi is in the hands of the Grik.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Entertaining and Original!
As good as the first book in the series (which I discovered by accident and glad I did). Well written characters and page turning action. I highly recommend reading this series. I can't wait for the 3rd book.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The second book in an engaging trilogy
This is the second book in what is scheduled as a trilogy. If you haven't yet read "Into the Storm: Destroyermen", pick that one up before reading "Crusade". The third book is due out in February 2009.

The premise is that two decrepit WWII destroyers that are fleeing the Japanese find themselves transported to an alernate Earth where the geopraphy is largely the same, but the dinosaurs never went extinct. The destroyer crews soon find out that they've been transported from one war ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent story, epic battles in the struggle to survive
This is the second book involving a WW I four stacker destroyer in an alternate time/place. The continuing story of how a group of beings come together to fight for survival against an overwhelming force of evil creatures. The story is well based in real capabilities as far as how the ships and weapons are made and perform in battle. No magic tricks or forces, the equipment, tactics and effects based on sound physics and historical development. The alliances and politics are further realistic challenges ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Gates thru the Multiverse
Series by new author Taylor Anderson is very good. Shows talent equal to David Weber or SM Stirling. Third book will be released in February 2009. I sincerely hope that it will not be the last.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Better than the first!
I read the first book and got curious; the story took turns I wasn't expecting, but this book was great! Very exciting and hard to put down, I can't wait until the next one comes out!
