![]() Rating: - Super ReaderThis book is a serviceable adaptation of the movie, and does keep some of the humour coming across as ok. It is one of those shorter styles of book taken fairly directly from the script/screenplay. So, if you like one, will probably like the other, as K recruits a smartarse athletic local cop to help save the planet, and stomp bad guy aliens all over the place. Rating: - AverageThe idea is good. But the writing is bad. If Perry is indeed a writer of children's books he should work a little on his style and choice of words. I do not speak of the dialogs, but I think the colloquialisms and wrong grammar of the descriptive parts are no good, not even in a low quality paperback written to entertain and nothing else. Read More Rating: - Loved the movie, the book is a good follow-onIf you saw and enjoyed this movie, you should certainly read the book. There are a lot of fun background items. The writing isn't good though. In the movie, there are a few lines that were awkward. I noticed that all of those lines were in this book. Most of the other lines were altered, and were significantly better in the movie. Much of the dialog here is just, well, banal is all I can think of. But, that doesn't stop the story from being hilarious. Especially since you can picture the ... Read More Rating: - This MiB is sharp, acerbic and not for kids.Well, despite the age rating Amazon gave it, (9-12) this is NOT for kids. A group of drug cultists get their hands on the worst drug in the world. A DEA agent infiltrates the suppliers only to have his sting foiled by a mysterious man in black. After an unhappy series of events, he surrenders his identity to become one of the Men in Black. Filled with wit, danger and an amazing sense of timing, Lowell Cunningham's comic book is an enjoyable alternative to todays's pointless, hormonal spandex wrapped ...
