As a transplant surgeon, I must say that there are not a lot of books published on this topic and, until recently, the previous edition was the authoritative textbook on this topic. In fact, I believe it was probably the only book guaranteed to grace the bookshelf of every liver transplant surgeon. The new text has been updated, which was a long time coming.
