 Rating: - Cancer bookWritten by several doctors, which was referred to me by my surgeon, explains in laymans terms... covers all types of cancers and treatments. Worth buying. Dedicates a whole chapter to the thyroid. Rating: - Great ResourceI recently purchased this book to replace a previous edition. This is the best resource that I have found written in layman terms so that anyone can understand the process, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. If you or someone you know is newly diagnosed with cancer, it is well worth purchasing this book. Rating: - A book everyone should haveAlmost all of us have a friend or relative who is affected by cancer. So very often we rely on uninformed sources for the information we have on their problems and on possible solutions and outcomes. This book is a real source of technical and up-to-date facts presented in a way which is accessible to anyone who is prepared to make just a little effort to understand mediacl language. Read More Rating: - A Comprehensive and Readable Book on CancerI received a an earlier edition of this book in 1991 when I was diagnosed with colon cancer and found that the information on cancer was presented in such a way that most people could understand. Since that time, whenever I hear of someone having cancer, I buy a copy of the book and give it to them. The book is very comprehensive and besides covering all the different sites for cancer as well as treatment, it is well illustrated and has many references.
