With such blunt advice as, "Soda is liquid Satan" and "You are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin," it's a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations. Behind all the attitude, however, there's solid guidance. Skinny Bitch espouses a healthful lifestyle that promotes whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and encourages women to get excited about feeling "clean and pure and energized." Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - over the topThe book has some solid information, but some of the information is taken to the extreme or overgeneralized. In general, some good considerations. I wouldn't accept the all or nothing mentality as it doesn't fit into real life business traveler needs. Rating: - Actually, It IS based on scienceEveryone needs to calm down. I now have the knowledge of what goes on in the meat, dairy, and other food industries and I will make smarter, organic, free-range, ... Rating: - Awesome!!! This book is amazing - funny, educational, realistic. This book changed my life, because it actually pushed me over the edge to become a vegetarian. Bottom line: good read, interesting, and humorous. Rating: - good informationThis book contains alot of good information about the products we consume on a daily basis. I seem to be the only person who thinks the tone in which it was written was just dumb. I didn't find the writers to be 'just telling it like it is'. I thought they were trying too hard. Just kind of silly and inappropriate, and I'm no prude. I know it was all for shock value, but I still found all the profanity, for a self help book, to be really odd. But the information they provided was good and I catch ... Read More In association with Amazon.com | |
