Editorial Review:

Product Description:
When patient characteristics and nurse competencies match, patient outcomes are optimized, according to The Synergy Model. Synergy for Clinical Excellence: The AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care enhances the understanding of The Synergy Model in practice. Based on a decade of work by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the text encompasses the history and development of the nurse and patient characteristics inherent in The Synergy Model, and then thoroughly addresses each characteristic individually and applies the model in practice. Sample test questions relevant to the model will assist nurses in preparing for certification through AACN, and provide further examples of the integration of The Synergy Model in Practice.

The Synergy Model is the most widely applicable framework for nursing practice. As such, Synergy for Clinical Excellence: The AACN Synergy Model for Patient Care is an essential reference for nurses in developing and implementing the competencies necessary in caring for critically ill patients.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - aacn
I simply love this book my aonly disappointment is that no one has a book for adult health cns preparation. This is one of the only books I found for certification in medical surgical nursing. It needs more questions.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Model of Care
This book illustrated a Synergistic Model of Care, where the nurse and the patient were matched.
