![]() Rating: - Sign Language SmartsI have not gotten that far in the book yet but have noticed from the beginning that this book goes into detail that most do not. I am not a teacher but this book explains how signs are understood. For instance, some things are automatically understood when a sign is done a certain way. The book explains how to "read-between-the-lines". This book gives information about those who need sign language, the deaf. I am excited to embark on new discoveries based on this new language to me. Rating: - HELPFUL ASL BOOKTHIS BOOK IS VERY HELPFUL IF YOU ARE JUST BEGINNING LEARNING ASL. IT REALLY FOCUSES ON THE GRAMMER AND HOW THE DEAF PEOPLE COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER AND WHY. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK HIGHLY FOR INTERMEDIATE BEGINNERS. Rating: - Wow...too much info for a novice begnnerThis book is very overwhelming to me. My infant son is hearing impaired so I'm trying to learn ASL. This is definately a college textbook and not an average readers book. I'm going to get through it some day but wow....it's a lot of info for me as a beginner. Rating: - great for beginnersI bought this for my adult brother who wanted to learn to sign. He said the book was great, very easy to understand, and he said he was able to learn quickly. Rating: - Sign language easy way.I wanted to see more hand sign than explaining what it is. For recreation learner it's too much text book like. In association with Amazon.com | |
