Editorial Review: Product Description: Prepared by residents and chief residents and reviewed by clinical faculty at the Washington University School of Medicine, this handbook is a practical guide to the diagnosis and treatment of hematologic disorders and adult malignancies. It covers both inpatient and outpatient management approaches with the same front-lines practicality as the world-famous Washington Manual(R) of Medical Therapeutics. Coverage includes both symptom-oriented and disease-oriented management strategies and both acute and chronic problems. The authors discuss the major clinical manifestations and usual management options for each disease entity. Each chapter ends with a list of "key points to remember" and includes current references. This handbook is also available electronically for handheld computers. See PDA listing for details. The Washington Manual(R) is a registered mark belonging to Washington University in St. Louis to which international legal protection applies. The mark is used in this publication by LWW under license from Washington University. Average Rating:

Rating: - Well DoneThis is a subspecialty consult book on hem/onc that I just received. It seems to have all of the basics for the primary physician, med student, rotating resident and even the basics for the fellows. You never know it might even have some of the minutiae that some attendings might forget. I think it was created for the rotating resident or med student and for this it really serves its purpose. Easy and concise. Although I have not read it completely, it does seem a tad sparse in some sections such as ... Read More In association with Amazon.com | |
