No other text is more careful to strike a balance between analytical principles and techniques and the correlation of laboratory results. This edition features additional case studies and questions, expanded coverage of endocrinology, and updated information on toxicology, geriatrics, and other topics. An Instructor's Resource Guide on CD-ROM includes chapter review questions and answers, teaching tips, an image bank, curriculum guidelines, and pedagogy by chapter. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Great Overview of Different analytical testsThis book gives a quick overview of the different analytes and tests that can be done in a clinical chemistry lab. If you want something more in depth i recomend Teitz Rating: - it's not badi'm happy with the service, i recieved the book on on time, but the book it self is awfully odd. it has some errors. Rating: - Clinical ChemistryA great textbook for learning clinical chemistry. Text is very easy to understand and parallels some of the materials for the test manufacturers. The index could be improved slightly, but is still user-friendly. Rating: - typos galoreThis book is not very helpful because it is littered with typos, not only in the text, but also in tables and graphs. I recommend that you save your money and purchase a better book then this. Rating: - Clear and concise for the student and lab generalistThis is an excellent book to use as an introduction to clinical chemistry. The chapter layout is logical and the content finds an appropriate balance keeping things concise but with enough depth for most student MTs and generalists. Specialist lab personnel and student MTs with clinical chemistry as a career interest would probably find the Tietz Fundamentals (not the Tietz Textbook-that's overkill) to be a better investment though as it covers topics at greater depth.
