I'm a 1st year CRNA student - it is the best pharm book I have read (and I have read many). Easy to read and packed full of clinically important information.

I have used this book over the last 9-12 months to study for my part I ANZCA exam. It is frustrating to use at times, often containing contradictory or imprecise statements. It definately contains several errors (including but not limited to the structures of sevoflurane and etidocaine). It is now becomming rather out of date (examiners often expect more up to date information than this). I must agree with Dr. Alqasaim; this book is excellent. Diagrams are well-done, as are the chapters - en tota.

The book has two distinct sections. The first half of the book is dedicated to the subject of pharmachology, and the second, physiology. This is not a large broad-based text.

Additionally, this is not a book to take the place of the old basic science "stand-by's" like Goodman & Gilman's, or Guyton. However, this book is highly useful for review in those aforesaid subjects, ... Read More
