Much of the material was not new after 35 years clinical experience but it made for a great review. The short anecdotal format is a comfortable method to learn and review this type of material. Unlike most anesthesia reference works it is an easy read and makes for nice 5 minute sessions. I think it would make a good launching point for teaching moments with anesthesia ... This is what makes the book different from many of the other anesthesia texts. In addition there are 2 sections of the book that many other books don't cover: how to go about looking for jobs/assessing a practice you might join, and also medical coding and payment.
