![]() Rating: - Good for StepIII but too much editor propagandaThe book was helpful for step III, although it just covers the bare minimum. I would supplement with another review book, especially for surgery and emergency med. The main problem is that at least one question in each section has no real answer (it get's really annoying after a while!). The purpose of these phantom questions is to provide a soap box for the editors to make politically correct statements, mostly blowing hot air about drug companies and big bad "business", etc. Good luck on your ... And it is, in truth, a wee outdated. But neither of those ever were it's strength. What IS, is the format. It has also inculcated a holistic angle in my practice of Medicine. I strongly recommend this book to anyone taking the Step 3 exam, on which I performed brilliantly only because of the full guidance about approach to disease I got from this great book! I would ... Read More Rating: - enough detail without being overloadedPro's: Excellent coverage of all areas for USMLE 3, with pertinent topics and for the most part enough detail in the answers without being tedious. Con's: The book needs a little updating, esp. for hypertension sections and a few peds concepts Overall : Excellent Review (Passed with flying colors! ) In association with Amazon.com | |
