Sure gives some food for thought. There is a short article of the Nag Hammadi discovery included in it, and a few articles about Buddhism's relation to Gnosticism, but I liked especially Murray Stein's psychological view to the Gospel of Truth. Rating: - A useful and thought-provoking series of essaysBooks on "gnosticism" often tend either to be in the academic stratosphere, or full of new age sensationalism. This volume is very useful in that it presents a variety of interesting viewpoints from (mostly) recognized scholars in the field.
