![]() Rating: - Practical, Spiritual and Great Recipe for SuccessIt took me two months to read and digest this book. I intend to use the tools, practices and steps to assist me in my job search. The author is fantastic, I had a couple of personal questions regarding my situation and Tony not only responded to my email, but he responded within the same day and gave sound advice that was needed and much appreciated! Rating: - Job Search SolutionThe best book on job hunting I've ever read. I especially liked the chapter on getting emotionally prepared Rating: - Some great insight, some extreme tacticsThis book provides some great insights about how hiring managers make decisions, and it inspired me to really think through what I offer, how I present myself, and how I might position my strengths differently for one interviewer than another - even for the same position. The author also does a good job acknowledging and validating the emotional misery that goes along with finding a new job. While this might seem obvious, for me it was a major breakthrough in self-awareness. Read More Rating: - So-soWell, I'd say that one of the previous reviewers was right - this book is way too big and it could've been cut in half. Endless Dr. Phil references and general chestbeating are rather amusing, as well. Still, there are some things that one might learn for himself/herself by reading this book - the idea that you actually have to work on your job search, the fact that hiring managers have no clue about what they're doing etc. etc. Unfortunately, good parts are mostly lost in ... Read More Rating: - Very good bookA very good book to get a handle on what the dynamics are for finding a job. It will provide to you what is the mind set of the people doing the interview process. The only caveat is that you have to remember this is written from the perspective of a headhunter. In association with Amazon.com | |
