Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - More Spunk than Science - But Read It Anyway!
I first read Paul Bragg in Russian translation. I was in my mid-teens and my father was "experimenting" with fasting. Bragg's braggish style resonated with my teenage mind and I developed a quick respect for his way-of-the-Fakir-mind-over-matter-cheerleading-inspirational style. I "experimented" with fasts and left it at that. I revisited his writing in my mid-twenties, already in English. I bought this very book and... felt annoyed by his style (I was working on my Master's in Counseling and ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Miracle of Fasting by Partricia Bragg
this book is my guru since 30 years I give it to all my friends this is the best book about life extensions, every book must have been inspired by, goes back 1000 of years
great book!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - A lot of fluff and not many facts
This book is similiar to a big infomercial for fasting. The authors tell all the great benefits of fasting, but have very little (if any) facts backing up their statements. One statement that left me scratching my head is found on page 17, and reads "Dairy farmers found by giving ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent advice for living healthy!!
I am truly thankful for the information presented in The Miracle of Fasting. I had an ulcerated leg that was destined to be amputated from a lack of circulation. I tried everything to save it. I almost gave up the fight until I read this wonderful book. I put the advice that Patricia Bragg gave in the book into practice and started fasting as much as my body would tolerate. After 5 weeks of a radical diet change and some fasting I noticed some improvement and over time my ulcers disappeared and I'm happy ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Fasting
Years ago I fasted a least once a week just as the Bragg book suggest. It worked then and it works now for controlling weight. The Bragg book on fasting was inpirational, motivational and gave helpful guidelines on how to fast. I have tried many other ways to control my overeating and weight loss and this method works for me.
