 Rating:  - A necessary outline of everything you will need to knowI bought this book for the Middle School Social Studies PRAXIS. Although it had iffy reviews, I bought it anyway, and I'm so glad I did. This book does NOT have information to study, but it has an incredibly helpful outline of the possible topics on the exam. I used the outline and researched (with a textbook and online encyclopedias) basic info on the topics with which I was unfamiliar. In addition, this book provides a practice test, which gives you an idea of the scope and scale of the questions ... Read More Rating:  - Save Your MoneyThis book briefly outlines what may appear on the Praxis 2 Science Middle School Test. It contains information on Math LA and Social Studies which is a waste for those that need to focus on one subject. Also the questions are close ended, where as on the atual exam they are scenario or open ended. Rating: - Great Study StarterThis book was a great study starter for the Middle School Content and Knowledge test. I went through the topics, then researched on the internet the things I was not sure of. One thing to be aware of....the Social Studies is NOT history. It is mostly Sociology. All in all, this is a good book to prepare one for the praxis. Rating:  - not very pleasedI was not very pleased with this purchase. It is good as far as giving you topics to study, but no specific information about the topics. Who has time to google every topic. Certainly not anyone I know. I would not recommend this book. I ended up borrowing textbooks from a middle school student which was a LOT more help than this book. Rating: - Not reccomended for primary study guideI bought this book for $40 simply because it is made by the same people who make the praxis II test (also, becasue there are not too many other study guides for the 0089 test). The pluss side of the book is that it contains a 60 question practice test with answers. Seeing as how these are the same people who make the questions for the praxis test, you can be pretty certain that if you do well on the practice test.
