![]() Rating: - Matthai textThis gargantuan text is the cornerstone of knowledge for filter design. It was recommended to me by a colleague with more than 25 years of experience designing filters. It was expensive but worth it. If I had to pick one text and only one text on filter design this would be it. I used it for reference for cavity BPF design but the theory is broad and there are design examples, too. The MTT-S proceedings are heavliy referenced so be prepared. Very good book! Rating: - OK but big and expensiveThis is a somewhat over sized, over priced tome and to be honest "Microwave Engineering; Passive Circuits" by Peter A. Rizzi is probably more concise and more usable. Rating: - Graduate Student doing research in Microwave EngineeringThis book is excellent. I use this book regularly in my research in Microwave Engineering. I have been able to develop very good impedance matching networks using the techniques put forth in this book. The presentation is excellent and very comprehensive. Despite being over 20 years old this book contains information that will help any RF Microwave Engineer.
