Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever. In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant "The Shack" wrestles with the timeless question, "Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?" The answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. You'll want everyone you know to read this book! Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - If you dare turn it's pages you will find HOPEThis book should be on every coffee table in the world. I was able to draw many parallels from my own experiences. As an author myself, I will absolutely declare that this book is superbly written in a most eloquent manner. Expressing so much in just a paragraph, that I had to pause and reflect often. I read a lot of books each year and this one by far has rocked my world, by confirming some beliefs that I have. It's the best explanation of Love, the Trinty ... I am not greatly religious but have always believed in God. I have never had something asthe evil portrayed in this book touch my life. I do know that I liked how the Holy Trinity were described and the book made me feel good inside! Can't that be enough? There is no reason to tear it apart or compare it to the Bible. I don't believe that was its intent. Just ... Read More Rating: - You Have To Read This BookWow, where do I start. If you will read just one book this year, I whole heartily recommend The Shack. It was sad, moving, powerful and enlightening. It's profound! I read it in 2 days, it's not a big book, but it has a big impact. This book touched my heart in a way that I didn't expect and can't really explain. It's fiction that seems so real that you can't help but get caught up in the humanity of it. Rating: - GREAT Book Fiction Metaphoric allegoryI liked this book very much, it puts into words unspoken questions I have had; "Why is God mean? ", "Why do bad things happen?" etc. I have been a Christian for 20+ years and have been embarrassed at the way many Christians practice their "RELIGION". I have always thought that Jesus must hate religion and the way it segments and separates His people. This fiction book speaks to us saying God can do and be what ever He wants and He is on my side. What else do we need to know? This fiction book is ... Read More Rating: - The ShackIt is a very interesting book and encouraged me to think outside of the box. It has broadened my views of God and my relationship to Him, to Jesus and the Holy Spirit and their roles in my life. In association with Amazon.com | |
