Editorial Review: Product Description: Caught up in an apparent act of terrorism while visiting Jerusalem, forensic archeologist Terry Harper, experiences the birth of Christianity through the eyes of someone who was an actual Eye Witness to these events & while fighting to hold on to life itself! Acts of the Spirit brings the New Testament to life, by interweaving a modern story of mystery and political intrigue, with a Gospel presentation that takes the reader from the morning of the resurrection through Saul's conversion in a fully illustrated format. Book two of the Eye Witness graphic novel trilogy. Ideal for readers from young teen to young adult. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Age Recommendation NeededI purchased this book for my 10 year old son but find many of the drawings rather creepy so have not given him the book as of yet. The angels look like demons and the accident scenes are very graphic. I think an age recommendation is needed for this book or some kind of parental guidance rating. Rating: - Strong, unique Christian graphic novelWith this second graphic novel in his Eye Witness series, Robert James Luedke continues providing stories for a genre that comic books - with few exceptions - have largely ignored in recent years: namely, stories with a Christian bent. If you're inherently hostile towards that concept, you may as well stop reading right now, as this book isn't for you. I'm not sure whether it was clearer here than it usually is or whether I just got round to analyzing the problem now, but at least I've got it figured now. The problem? Character development. The Biblical characters don't need character development, because ... Read More Rating: - Excellent introduction to the Acts of ApostlesThis graphic novel by Robert James Luedke proves to be an excellent introduction to Bible's Acts of Apostles. The fictionized story begins in modern time where this archaeologist who found positive proof of the truism of the Gospels, became a victim of a suicide bombing that left him in the hospital in Israel crucially wounded. During this period as he drifts into and out of sleep induced coma-like state, he is visited by an angel who take him back in times to the period immediately after Jesus' death. ... Read More Rating: - I witness. The creator of this graphic novel sent it to me and asked me to review it. It is the second part of a trilogy. I usually prefer to read the first part of a trilogy before I read the second part, but I didn't have any trouble getting caught up, thanks to the exposition in this book. From what I can tell, the first part involved two archeologists finding a document which was a first hand account of the last days of Jesus; which would seemingly confirm the Gospels in the Bible. Certain people apparently ... Read More In association with Amazon.com | |
