Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - worthless purchase
This book did not help with any preparation to attempting the CCS cases, your best option would be to print out the read out material provided by [...] and follow each each thoroughly in order to grasp the general gist and order of managment. I didn't find this book helpful at all. It was overpriced where I could have used that money to just extend the bank for the CCS cases.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - ridiculously overpriced for the content
The book is a pamphlet with less than 70 pages of actual content- waaaay overpriced at 30 dollars. The actual pages dealing with strategy and the test are about 25. the rest are 15 practice cases. The so called method of approaching a CCS patient that reviewers here are finding revolutionary is the same thing they teach you on your first rotations- the H&P and orders needed for various types of patients. for heaven's sake, don't waste your money on this thing, what a joke.

If you have ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Ok!
This book was ok to give you a guideline on the algorithm of this test, if you can wing it from there and doing an IM residency you'll be fine, but if you are in path or derm or psych, anesthesia etc. and out of the bread and butter of internal medicine then subscribe to an interactive bank.. Even though I did a hundred cases, I was so ill prepared for the exam day CCS, they were just horrid.. you can order the million dollar workup and still not have a diagnosis, I had a patient who kept complaining ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - "Perfect" quick review
This small book was the best review for just before Step 3. Other Case reviews are inaccurate on format or included sections... this one is "perfect" for your line of thinking for the exam.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Must Have
What a great addition to the Blue Prints series. This tiny book teaches you step by step how to "play the game" of the Sim section of Step 3. If you can master this, the sim section will be a breeze...I had no surprises the day of the exam, and I thank this book for giving me the tools to crush it.
