It's a world where all the characters are trucks, all the stories are action driven, and boys and girls can imagine themselves in all their crazy, loud, funny, creative, excited, full-throttle glory! It's a world where we work at play, and we play at work... and no one's afraid to get dirty or be LOUD! And it all kicks off with Smash! Crash! best friends Jack and Dan are spending their day doing what they do best--smashing and crashing! All the while a strange shadow is following them around every corner... Who is this new addition to Trucktown? What does she want? Rhythmic, rollicking text will get kids' motors running and horns honking with each refrain! This is a book that begs to be read again and again! Meet the Trucktown Gang

![]() Rating: - Horrible message, great artSure 2-year-old boys like the smash and crash theme and the art is very well done, but the message is horrible. For example, the boy trucks "charge Cement Mixer Melvin" saying it's time to smash and crash. He tells them he is busy but they do it anyway and leave Melvin in a big cement mess. They hear a voice and then run away. No saying they are sorry, no punishment for making a mess, and no one telling them to help clean up. We talked about how this is mean, thinking it would be resolved ... Read More Rating: - Crashes right into your heartMy son loves this book so very much. It is always in the three-book-a-night line up. Though the characters are smashing, they are doing what they love and (mostly) helping out others in the process. Rating: - My son loves this book!My son (not quite two) loves this book and has loved it for six months. It was the first story book that he could sit through and he'd have me read it ten times a day (or more). Two mischievous trucks play all day, visiting their friends and making lots of noise while helping everyone they come across (fixing a road, stacking barrels, making a pirate fort). In the end they are caught by the wrecking crane and instead of getting into trouble are put to work doing what they do best - smashing ... Read More Rating: - My Son LOVES Jack & DanMy 3 yr old son got this for his b-day a few months ago, and it is his ALL TIME favorite book. It's been our only Trucktown book, but he can tell you who each character is, and can pretty much recite the book for us. The story is about best friends Jack and Dan, and how they love to Smash and Crash things as they meet up with their other friends. It's not the most in-depth storyline, but it doesn't seem to matter. This book is great for any young boy who's into cars & trucks. We ... Read More Rating: - Grandson loved it!I bought this book to take to my 2yr. 3 mo. grandson, who LOVES story time before bed and just started enjoying "boy" stuff like crashing his trucks. Smash, Crash was a huge hit which was read by request every night. By night three he knew the names of the trucks and the smash, crash. Honestly, after reading it the first time myself, I didn't think much of the story, but he sure did. Grandma GG In association with Amazon.com | ||||||||||||||
