![]() Rating: - Excellent Stories, but Where was the Editor?I've never enjoyed reading negative reviews, but I felt it necessary to post a word of warning as well as a question. The real-life experiences contained in this book of stories were excellent, but the spelling, punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure were clearly and disturbingly not edited. It is possible that I received a draft or early-release copy of the book, but I wanted to know if anyone else who bought this item noticed this. Feedback anyone? Rating: - Worst Book EVERThis book is a complete waste of time if you want to read stories about life as a paramedic. The author gives one page summaries of calls. Gives barely any procedural work of the call. I would recommend any thing by Peter Canning if you want to read about Para-medicine. Rating: - Good stories, but in dire need of an editor. The stories in this book are fantastic. Steffensen isn't shy about honestly disclosing his faults and failings, as well as triumphs. Unfortunately, the quality of writing is sub-par. These are written in the way that one talks. Stories have no continuity between them and often are poorly paginated. Like another commenter, my impression was that I was reading a draft version, a very early draft at that. Hat's off to you George on a fine book.... keep your stories coming. Ps: George is actually much crazier in real life than he is in this book : ) Rating: - An enlightening and interesting read...I am not exactly sure how I ended up getting the unedited version of your book which was a bit difficult to read, but it was an interesting autobiography just the same. I laughed at a few of the analogies that were definate truisms that define the differences between the new buff and the older experienced medics. Also interesting is how New York presents experiences that are unique to many other services, cities and working environments. Mr. Steffensen my suggestion to you is to continue ...
