He has gained a lot of insight from this book. Rating: - Some good background information for GERD PatientsI am researching gastric reflux because of my long history with GERD. I have been on a PPI for almost 10 years now to treat my GERD. The author claims that long term use of PPIs will ultimately cause the continuation of heartburn and other gastric problems. My consultations with several Gastroenterologists have yielded little to make me wary of continued PPI usage. This lack of information about long-term side effects is troublesome to me.
