Book Description:
Written for serious practitioners and teachers who want to use yoga to bring complete balance to the body, and understand, in more detail, how the asanas affect the structure of the body. You will learn "body reading" to determine what posture reveals about muscular imbalances. Stiles shares his understanding of anatomy and kinesiology, joint mobility and muscle strength, and teaches a series of joint-freeing exercises that can also be used to strengthen muscles. 123 illustrations. Structural Yoga Therapy: Adapting to the Individual
I was referred to Makunda Stiles' Structural Yoga Therapy by Joan Borysenko, PhD. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Book - Succeeded where nothing else could

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - structural yoga therapy
A welcome book that is a great help in spotting common postural misalignments in students. It also outlines the areas of the body that are tight or weak resulting from the misalignment. I like his detailed explaination on the joint opening sequence called pavanmuktasana as this can be a good starting point for students that have body bias or are new to yoga.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Structural Yoga Therapy, Adapting to the Individual
Book is awesome. The reading is so interesting and the information is excellent. A must for yoga instructors and students, too.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Reference for Yoga Teachers
This book is an excellent reference for yoga teachers. I've used the structural techniques in my classes. Highly recommend it for all teachers.
