Unfortunately, many of the example cover letter failed to follow the guidelines. For instance, on page 47, "Don't tell them what you want them to do or that you'll call to schedule an interview." The cover letter on page 153 says, "I will call in approximately two weeks to discuss how I hope to contribute to your school." I appreciated the large number of example letters, but they are very focused on cold letters. There are only a very few letters for jobs you have been referred to, and few letters for someone without a lot of experience.
