It's well done, regular modern day English, and written for someone looking to be taught the word in straight English. Rating: - The most beautiful, inspirational book EVER written.The Message, especially The Message Remix 2.0, is incredible. It's simply the Bible in modern language. BUT there is so much more to this. It's poetic, it's well explained, and it's written in such a way that the context of the pages are easily comprehendable. Each book starts out with Eugene Peterson explaining the whole book, to put it in perfect context. So when you read the book, it makes complete sense! The Bible finally makes sense!!! Each chapter has this heading sentence that explains the ... Read More Rating: - Easy to readI got this Bible for my friend because he said he never read his Bible as it was too difficult to read. He tells me he finds this easy to read and IS actually reading it. The down side (to me) is that every verse is not numbered, so if you take it to church you might be trying to find the verse in between the numbered paragraphs. Overall a good purchase, I would recommend it. Rating: - Excellent simple translation"The Message" is a great bible for new believers (even to offer as a gift), especially for those who want to see the "big picture" of the Bible. I wouldn't make this a primary study bible--it is a paraphrase. Rating: - Everyone Must Own ThisFrom beginning to end, every word of this is valuable. This should be the only "version" or "translation" available. There is no more guessing at meanings or reading between the lines. This is the Bible in plain, modern English. I would recommend this to anyone regardless of religious views. Christians and non-christians alike will find this to be valuable beyond measure.
