It changed the nature of political science as a scholarly discipline and introduced concepts that continue to influence political theory. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Unreadable typesettingCheaply produced and bound -- and the typesetting is shockingly poor. There are no indents after paragraph breaks, italics that were in the original are missing in this shoddy edition. I have to purchase yet another copy because this fly-by-night publisher can't be bothered to typeset an out-of-copyright text properly. Rating: - Walter Lippman's Legacy as I See ItI had the good fortune to meet Walter Lippman growing up, as my father was his children's orthodontist (overbites all). Through this, Lippman and my biological mother, the receptionist, began an affair that lasted--on and off--for several tumultuous years. Lippmann was part of the Creel Committee, whose job it was to sell the ... Read More Rating: - A concise and pragmatic look at politics as a sociological phenomenaLippmann's thorough analysis of public opinion serves as an intriguing contemporary counterpoint to Edward Bernays' "Propaganda" (though both books are in many ways timeless). An interesting read - I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in politics or group psychology. In association with Amazon.com | |
