From the author: A computation method for the development of the interface in coextrusion flows is proposed. It is based on the transformation of the nonmixing condition at the interface into a transport equation of the rheological constants in the whole domain. The coextrusion flow of a Newtonian fluid and of a Carreau fluid is tested. It is pointed out that the interface location is strongly dependent on the flow rate and on the flow rate ratio.
