From the author: Using a sample from seven temporary agencies, this article explores the reactions of temporary workers to a variety of temporary work arrangements. The results suggest that temporary workers who are temporary workers by choice and not by necessity, who are in positions consistent with their previous education and experience, and who are not trying to convert their temporary jobs into full-time positions have more positive job attitudes. Implications of these findings for the management of temporary workers are discussed.
