It is strong and stretchy -- it held all 5 of our wet swimming suits plus the things we washed in the sink. Tucking clothes and swimming suits into the braided tubing works much better than clothes pins. This will be in my suitcase every time I travel with or without my kids! Simple twisted-pair lines (or fabric-covered ones) don't grip heavy/wet clothes sufficiently; lines with suction cups don't attach to anything but very smooth surfaces (and can't be depended on to manage much weight either).
