As you read through the book you can identify with him. It certainly holds your attendion because you feel as if he is speaking right to you. Yes, it is in his own words. Rating: - Barack Obama in His Own WordsThis book is a good mirror into the thinking of Mr. Obama. Much of what is in the book is what he says on the campaign trail, which makes him a very credible candidate for President of the United States od America. Quotes are taken from printed and electronic media which gives one insight into his personal and political life. I would recommend this book if one wanted to have a "hard copy" of many of his words given during his political career. Rating:  - Not the best source for ObamaBarack Obama In His Own Words is interesting and would be useful as a research tool for anyone writing about Obama, but it is nowhere near as interesting as his own books, all of which are insightful and fascinating.
