They want out, and to get out they often bend over backward to make nice with their soon-to-be exes. The result: They get screwed. How screwed? Consider this: - The average woman experiences a 45 percent drop in her standard of living after divorce - 85.1 percent of custodial parents are mothers - 45 percent of children living with a divorced mother live at or near the poverty line - Only one-half of custodial parents are awarded child support - Only about 45 percent of custodial parents due child support payments receive the full amount In Hit Him Where It Hurts, acclaimed matrimonial attorney Sherri Donovan shows women how to take the offensive in the bloody game we call divorce. With her take-no-prisoners approach, women everywhere can ensure that they gain their freedom without sacrificing their health, their wealth, or their well-being--not to mention that of their children. ![]() Rating: - Disgusting. If you buy this book, your spouse is the better person. The Author appeared on the Montel Williams show, and that is about the level we are dealing with here. If you are that sort of person, this book is for you. Rating: - The lover of his moneyHow I married Mr. Wonderful and dumped such a loser and can I hang onto his wallet for the rest of his life. Get on with the rest of your life. To say that there's a 45% loss of income is plain good math ! 100% - 50% = 50%, I learned this in 3 grade. Rating: - Very Helpful and EmpoweringI had to say "Yikes!" when I read Anonymous's review regarding the author, but I still liked this book. It's not your run of the mill "play nice" divorce book, nor is it filled with legalese that you'll never hope to understand and will just look stupid quoting to your lawyer. In addition to the advice it offers, it makes you feel like there's hope and that you just might come out ahead in your divorce. The only down side to me was all the fighting/boxing lingo, but I guess that was to be expected. Rating: - Great BookAs a practicing attorney, I found Ms. Donovan's book extemely informative. A must read for anyone going thru a divorce. It is written in plain english and easy too understand.
