The mission of Bakugan game play is to battle against other Bakugan to win the points awarded on the cards by getting your Bakugan to land on the cards. Players will love pretending to be one of the various characters in the show, such as the fiery 12-year-old leader "Dan" or the wise "Marucho," and they gain a deeper understanding of the cards and warriors as they play. The Battle Arena is easy to set up and use. Simply unfold the black plastic arena, and erect the red walls by using slots on the side. The walls prevent the spherical Bakugan from rolling away. Up to four players can battle it out in the arena. There are no instructions included about how to use the Battle Arena specifically, although there are instructions about how to play the game. Note: This accessory does not include any Bakugan warriors or cards, which must be purchased separately. Adding Fun and Excitement to Bakugan Battles This easy-to-use accessory adds an entirely new element of fun and excitement to your child's Bakugan play--especially if he is already a devotee of the game. We would have liked to see some instructions about the Battle Arena itself, including a description of what the various markings on the floor of the arena represent. We can only assume that kids who are fans of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers TV show will understand the arena and won't need the instructions. You can play on a coffee table with books bordering the four sides to prevent the figures from rolling off. Is it more fun to play when you have one? Yes. When he saw this toy advertised he told me he'd "Been wanting this All his life". He's only six, but I guess when your that age it seems like a long time. He thoroughly enjoys setting up the battleground and playing the game. Even though he is young he understands the action and he and his friends have a great time playing when the weather is not conducive to outdoor play. Bakugan is the kind of game that you can just whip out and play on a table or the floor, the plastic arena is not needed.
